Melinda Michael Eppler is Executive Director of the Fulton Avenue Improvement Association, a property and business improvement district established in 1998. Eppler is responsible for managing the streetscape improvement projects, economic development activities, local advocacy and marketing and security programs for the Association’s landowners.
Prior to joining the Association in 2003, Melinda worked five years as Director of Communications for Sierra Health Foundation, a non-profit grant maker supporting health-related projects throughout northern California. Her work in communications, public service, public relations and public policy spans twenty years as she spent several years working in Washington D.C. for two Members of Congress, and for former Governor Pete Wilson here in Sacramento as a public affairs official.
Melinda was the first woman to Chair of the Safety Center, Inc.’s Board of Directors, is a past President of the Sierra Oaks Neighborhood Association, is a founding member of the Arden-Arcade Community Planning and Advisory Council and is PTA President at Sierra Oaks K-8. A 30 year resident of the Arden-Arcade area, Eppler is a graduate of the University of California, at Santa Barbara. She and her husband Grant have two sons, ages 12 and 8.
